QC executive

UTM Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Executive to join our FMCG manufacturing team based in Korangi, Karachi. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in quality control within the FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing sectors. This role involves ensuring the highest standards of product quality and compliance through rigorous testing and inspection processes. The position requires hands-on expertise in analytical techniques and a thorough understanding of manufacturing practices, with a commitment to maintaining GMP and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct quality testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, bulk, and finished products.
- Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses according to approved specifications.
- Utilize laboratory instruments such as HPLC, titration meters, pH meters, and viscometers for testing.
- Monitor production processes and carry out in-process quality inspections.
- Inspect packaging components including bottles, caps, labels, and cartons to ensure compliance.
- Ensure batch-wise quality control and verify product compliance prior to final release.
- Oversee manufacturing hygiene and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Maintain proper calibration, operation, and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
- Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) results, deviations, and customer quality complaints.
- Identify root causes of quality issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, batch inspection reports, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and other QC documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ISO 9001 standards.
- Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to maintain consistent product quality.
- Support internal audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.) or an equivalent qualification.
- 4 to 5 years of relevant quality control experience in FMCG, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing.
- Practical experience with analytical instruments, particularly HPLC (preferred), titration meters, pH meters, and viscometers.
- Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and product formulation principles.
- Experience in testing raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, CAPA, SOPs, and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Understanding of batch manufacturing processes and in-process quality control.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Competitive market salary ranging between Rs85,000 to Rs100,000 per month.
- Work schedule is Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- The role is based in Vita Chowrangi, Korangi, Karachi, and requires in-person attendance.
