Perfect Aerosol Industries is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Officer specializing in Packaging and Material to ensure the highest standards of product quality. This role focuses on two vital inspection points: the incoming packing materials and the finished goods before they are transferred to the warehouse. The successful candidate will play a key role in preventing non-compliant materials from entering production and ensuring that only products meeting quality standards reach customers.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Packing Material Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming packing materials, including aerosol cans, tins, valves, actuators, caps, labels, shrink sleeves, cartons, and outer shippers, verifying compliance with specifications and approved samples.
- Evaluate print quality, artwork accuracy, batch and lot coding, and barcode legibility to ensure consistency and correctness.
- Inspect cans for dimensional accuracy, dents, rust, coating or lacquer defects, and verify neck and crimp specifications.
- Confirm proper valve and actuator fitment and assess spray pattern consistency.
- Assess carton strength, ply, printing quality, and sizing to guarantee packaging integrity.
- Maintain and update reference samples for ongoing quality comparisons.
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any rejected materials and collaborate with Procurement and Stores teams to manage these materials appropriately.
- Ensure that no packing materials proceed to the filling or packing lines without prior QC clearance.
Finished Goods Inspection:
- Inspect finished aerosol products before their transfer to the finished goods warehouse, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Verify correct label placement, print clarity, batch numbers, manufacturing dates, and expiry dates on products.
- Check carton packing for accurate unit counts, proper sealing, and physical condition.
- Reconcile produced and packed quantities against the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR) to maintain production accuracy.
- Approve and sign or stamp Goods Receipt Notes and batch release documents as part of the release process.
- Quarantine and tag any non-conforming goods pending further disposition or corrective action.
- Maintain detailed daily QC inspection logs and reconcile these records against production output for traceability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; candidates with a diploma and strong relevant experience will also be considered.
- Between 2 to 4+ years of quality control experience, preferably within aerosol, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing industries.
- Solid understanding of packaging materials, print and label quality standards, and Batch Manufacturing Record documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Proven ability to coordinate effectively across departments such as Production, Procurement, and Stores.
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs 60,000 to Rs 75,000 and requires the candidate to work on-site at the company’s location. This role is ideal for professionals committed to maintaining rigorous quality standards and contributing to seamless production and delivery processes.
