Quality Assurance Engineer

Descon Engineering Limited – Lahore Manufacturing Works (LMW) is seeking a qualified and motivated Engineer QA to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality standards of our manufacturing processes are consistently met and improved. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively implement quality management systems and support continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and customer requirements.
- Manage quality documentation, conduct audits, and handle Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) along with corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Coordinate inspection requests and maintain accurate quality records using SAP and Proact systems.
- Prepare and analyze Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reports to identify areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing quality standards and ensure compliance throughout production processes.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, quality audits, NCR management, and corrective action processes.
- Experience with quality management systems and documentation control.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Familiarity with SAP and quality management software such as Proact is considered an advantage.
- Exposure to manufacturing quality standards and continuous improvement methodologies will be beneficial.
