Key Responsibilities

- Review Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and Figma designs before development begins to identify gaps, unclear logic, and missing edge cases early in the process.
- Develop clear and comprehensive test cases and scenarios covering buyer flows, seller flows, the admin dashboard, and the website.
- Conduct in-depth testing of core auction functionalities, including bid placement, bid matching, outbid scenarios, closing conditions, timing, and simultaneous user actions.
- Test listing creation, editing, and deletion across various product categories, with special attention to category-specific fields and the newly introduced Property category.
- Validate chat features, reviews, notifications, analytics, and deal flows, including QR-based deal processes.
- Perform thorough regression testing before each release to ensure new updates do not disrupt existing features.
- Log detailed and actionable bugs in Jira, including clear reproduction steps, expected versus actual results, severity levels, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or recordings.
- Verify bug fixes with rigorous retesting and push back if issues are only partially resolved.
- Test across multiple devices, screen sizes, operating systems, and browsers to ensure consistent performance.
- Assess security basics, data validation, and permission handling to prevent unauthorized access or changes between users.
- Support the go-live readiness checklist and participate in release sign-off processes.
- Collaborate with the team to address findings from internal and external audits.
- Gradually introduce automation testing where appropriate, prioritizing critical flows.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in manual QA for web and mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle, test design methodologies, and bug life cycle management.
- Experience testing APIs using tools such as Postman.
- Proficiency in Jira for bug tracking and writing clear, concise bug reports.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with comfort working within sprint cycles.
- Basic SQL skills to verify data integrity and understand backend processes.
- Solid knowledge of browser developer tools for debugging and investigation.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the confidence to respectfully challenge decisions when quality is at risk.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Exposure to automation testing tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Experience testing AI-generated or AI-assisted code, with an understanding of common pitfalls.

- Ability to interpret Figma designs and compare them against the developed product.
- Experience working in startup environments or fast-paced, evolving product teams.
