AIM, a Canadian technology company specializing in API management, cloud engineering, security solutions, and full-stack software development, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its remote team based in Pakistan. This full-time role reports to the QA Lead or Engineering Manager and offers the opportunity to work on scalable, secure digital platforms for enterprise clients across North America and globally. The ideal candidate will blend strong software testing fundamentals with hands-on experience in leveraging Generative AI tools within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance quality engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Manual & Functional Testing: Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and cases covering functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing. Validate requirements and ensure comprehensive feature coverage for web and mobile applications. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects until resolution.
API & Backend Testing: Perform API testing using tools like Postman, validating request/response payloads, authentication, and data integrity. Conduct backend testing and database validation through SQL queries.
Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks. Support CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve automation coverage and framework reliability.
AI-Assisted Quality Engineering: Utilize AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Gemini to generate AI-assisted test cases, plans, and automation scripts. Accelerate exploratory testing and defect identification using AI-enhanced workflows. Conduct defect triage, root cause analysis, and produce high-quality QA documentation with AI assistance. Identify opportunities for engineering efficiency through responsible AI adoption.
Collaboration & Delivery: Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives. Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and process improvements. Support release validation and production readiness activities.
