Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager position is a full-time, on-site role located at Aziz Steel’s Murīdke facility. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing quality control and assurance activities related to steel bars and billets. The manager will develop and maintain quality standards, conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products, supervise testing procedures, and document quality metrics. Collaboration with production teams to address non-conformances, leading root-cause analysis, and driving corrective and preventive actions are key aspects of the role. Additionally, the manager will train staff on quality protocols, ensure compliance with industry and safety standards, and prepare detailed reports for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control processes for steel products.
- Inspect raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate testing procedures and quality inspections.
- Lead root-cause analysis and manage corrective and preventive action plans.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
- Train and guide staff on quality protocols and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and control practices within steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with material testing methods, inspection techniques, and the use of measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to steel production and certification.
- Proven ability to lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Proficiency in documenting processes, maintaining quality records, and preparing data-driven reports.
- Effective leadership and team management skills, with experience training cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail, safety, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Relevant certifications in quality management such as ISO or Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Prior experience in a quality assurance management or senior quality role within steel manufacturing or a similar heavy industry is preferred.
