Quality Assurance Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the Quality Assurance department to ensure the development and effective implementation of QA procedures in compliance with The Coca-Cola Company standards and local legal requirements set by provincial EPA and Food Authorities. This role is responsible for guaranteeing that products meet both internal and external quality standards, including legal compliance and customer expectations, ensuring that all products are fit for their intended purpose.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure that product and packaging quality consistently meet organizational standards.
- Train and develop quality assurance staff to perform their duties effectively according to business needs.
- Establish and monitor product standards by examining raw materials and directing testing during production to ensure finished products meet prescribed quality levels.
- Ensure all processes are executed according to job instructions within the assigned department.
- Identify, document, and take corrective and preventive actions for any non-conformities.
- Monitor syrup, sugar, and concentrate efficiencies daily and throughout production cycles.
- Oversee cleaning procedures for fields, equipment, and machinery within the work area.
- Verify the proper functioning of calibrated devices, including intermix devices, cooling systems, and level control devices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and local regulations.
- Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems, including HACCP and PAS 220 requirements.
- Drive compliance with sustainability KPIs and ensure effective implementation of GMP, GLP, and housekeeping standards at the plant.
- Maintain 100% backward traceability of products.
- Proactively manage and resolve consumer complaints to maximize customer satisfaction and reduce flabby claims.
- Support and collaborate with other departments to help achieve their targets.
- Execute assignments as directed by senior management.
- Lead the implementation of Quality, Food Safety, and HSE management systems and ensure the proper maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
- Champion the implementation of KORE, HACCP, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records to comply with audit requirements such as KORE Q-1, KORE E-1, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and FSSC 22000.
- Ensure wastewater quality meets all applicable laws and Coca-Cola Company standards at all times.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for a Master’s degree.
- Educational background in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or MSc Chemistry.
