Quality Control Engineer

This role focuses on ensuring the quality and technical compliance throughout the transformer manufacturing process. The position involves conducting in-process inspections, managing Quality Gates, maintaining material traceability, handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), overseeing documentation, and supervising final testing. All activities must align with established standards and specifications to guarantee product reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and review in-process inspection sheets across various production sections to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Implement Quality Gates that prevent the progression of products to subsequent stages without meeting all technical requirements of the prior section.
- Study and apply guidelines from the One World Quality Manual, developing and updating work instructions tailored to different production areas.
- Understand specifications for different transformer ratings and prepare corresponding in-process inspection sheets and drawings.
- Inspect transformer leads, tolerances, and recommend modifications when necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor the final assembly process, including final clamping, active part exposure time, lead tolerances, and perform visual inspections of the active part before tanking.
- Compile comprehensive documented files for each transformer order, encompassing all technical data and completed inspection sheets.
- Maintain material traceability records, documenting supplier details and serial numbers for all materials and accessories used.
- Generate Non-Conformance Reports for suppliers if received materials exhibit physical damage or fail to meet specified requirements.
- Prepare Non-Conformance Reports for production-related failures, including identification of corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
- Oversee ongoing routine and type testing of transformers within the Test Field to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Engineering.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or manufacturing within the electrical or transformer industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and basic power engineering concepts.
- Competent in using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software is advantageous.
- Language proficiency in English and Urdu to facilitate effective communication within the team and with suppliers.
