This opportunity is for an on-site Quantity Surveyor contract position based in Islamabad, where the successful candidate will contribute to various engineering and construction projects by managing cost-related activities from initial estimates through to project completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for engineering and construction projects.
- Conduct site visits to measure and value work, ensuring accurate tracking of project costs.
- Assist in budget monitoring and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support contract administration by evaluating variations, claims, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options.
- Report on project financials and provide timely cost advice to project stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and preparation of bills of quantities for both building and infrastructure projects.
- Experience with tendering processes, bid evaluation, and contract administration within engineering or construction environments.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel, cost estimation software, and AutoCAD or similar applications for measurement purposes.
- Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and prevailing local market rates in Pakistan.
- Ability to analyze project drawings and specifications, identify potential cost risks, and recommend value engineering solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, capable of working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional certifications or membership in relevant bodies will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in consulting or contractor-side quantity surveying in Pakistan, especially on multi-disciplinary projects, is highly desirable.
