Quantity Surveyor

JU Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Valencia Town, Lahore. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing project costs, preparing and verifying contractor billings, and ensuring accurate financial documentation throughout the construction process. This position requires close coordination with various departments including Engineering, Procurement, Site, and Finance to maintain billing accuracy and compliance with contract terms. Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify contractor and subcontractor billings to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Prepare, review, and certify Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) in line with project progress.
- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and perform quantity take-offs for project estimation and billing.
- Conduct on-site measurements to validate work completed and support billing accuracy.
- Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Procurement, Site, and Finance teams to obtain necessary billing approvals.
- Monitor project costs continuously and maintain detailed, accurate cost records.
- Evaluate variations and prepare cost estimates to manage changes in project scope.
- Ensure all activities comply with contract terms, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost control measures, and financial reporting to support management decisions.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
- 4 to 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying, particularly in billings and IPC preparation.
- Strong knowledge of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimation techniques, and construction contract management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying software applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
