• Our on-site Operations Manager should have an excellent level of commercial awareness, who can build and maintain relationships with internal and external guests.
  • Also responsible for highlighting short/medium/long-term issues to the Leadership team and to help formulate solutions.
  • Lead Hotel Operations
  • Fully responsible for all operational aspects of all departments of the hotel
  • .Deputize the Property Manager in his absence and at various meetings & events.
  • Be responsible for consistent delivery of the highest standard of service.
  • Conduct regular operations meetings with all HODs to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets and guest feedback
  • .Ensure consistent implementation and review of SOPs throughout all Departments.
  • Carry out regular inspections of all departments in the areas of guest service delivery, cleanliness, presentation, service delivery, employee presentation and grooming.
  • Be responsible for all the day-to-day queries, complaints or problems that arise in the hotel.Administrative tasks
  • Carry out Duty Management shifts as required.Monitor the purchase requisitions of each department, the accounts receivable and payable to vendors & suppliers.
  • The Operations Manager is also required to assist in the preparation and implementation of budgeting and forecasting processes
  • .Promote a positive employee relations culture through effective communication and regular team meetings.
  • Maximize financial opportunities and achieve a pro-active up-selling environment throughout the hotel.

Other duties:

  • Identifying staff learning needs and assisting with development
  • Conduct regular fire walks and Health & Safety audits.
  • Any other duties assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

  • Intermediate education with 10 years of Hotel management experience, OR Bachelors
  • (14-16 years) education in Hotel Management/other related education with 6 years of Hotel management related experience
  • Demonstrated usage and experience with personal computer, smart phone and internet browsing.
  • Working experience of a similar role in 4-to-5 Star Hotel will be strongly preferred.
  • Boutique hotels and reputable guest house experience will also be considered.
  • Foreign hospitality experience or education will be given bonus points.
