Based in Hyderabad, this position offers an exciting opportunity to join EY’s Global Delivery Services (GDS) team as a Senior Java Full Stack Engineer with a focus on Delivery Excellence. The role involves contributing to innovative IT transformation projects by designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native applications that leverage AI-assisted development. You will primarily work within the Banking, Financial Services, and Capital Markets (BFSI) domain, collaborating with international teams and key industry stakeholders to implement advanced quality models and next-generation delivery platforms. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Java and Scala development, cloud technologies, and event-driven architectures, combined with leadership skills to mentor teams and drive agile delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade full stack applications.
- Promote and integrate AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, or Replit to enhance engineering productivity.
- Architect and build microservices-based solutions using Java, Scala, and frameworks like Spring Boot or Akka.
- Develop and maintain high-performance distributed applications and real-time data pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka.
- Design scalable, resilient cloud-native systems on platforms including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders within BFSI domains to ensure alignment and quality.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, security, performance, and DevOps pipelines.
- Mentor and manage development teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Engage in client discussions, requirements gathering, and solution design activities.
- Drive Agile methodologies and delivery practices across the team to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Java and Scala development, with mandatory expertise in both languages.
- Proficient in Java versions 8, 11, or 17+, and Scala for building distributed, data-intensive applications.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and functional/reactive programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra is a plus.
- Practical exposure to AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, or Replit.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including containerization technologies like Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and engineering best practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
