Key Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities for assigned accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Review and validate journal entries before posting to maintain accuracy.
- Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items.
- Investigate unusual variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting and audits.
- Ensure all accounts are fully reconciled and supported prior to close sign-off.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies or missing data.
- Maintain control over account balances and related documentation.
- Assist the Line Manager with financial reporting tasks.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Record-to-Report (R2R) or General Ledger functions.
- Strong knowledge of financial close processes and complex reconciliations.
- Ability to review and correct journal entries and account balances effectively.
- Understanding of financial reporting standards and internal control requirements.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance preferred), or an equivalent qualification.
- Professional certifications such as CMA, CA (part-qualified), or ACCA are preferred. Articles from an A-rated firm is an advantage.
