RCS Messaging Integration Developer

We are looking for an experienced developer to enhance an existing healthcare AI platform by integrating RCS Business Messaging (RBM). The platform is already live, and this role focuses specifically on adding rich messaging capabilities and connecting them smoothly with the current patient portal. This is not a full platform development position but rather a targeted effort to improve patient communication through advanced messaging features.

Key Responsibilities
- Integrate an RCS messaging provider, with a preference for candidates familiar with US carriers.
- Develop rich messaging content such as buttons, cards, and clickable actions to improve user engagement.
- Implement SMS fallback solutions to guarantee message delivery when RCS is unavailable or fails.
- Link messaging buttons to secure workflows within the patient portal, ensuring seamless transitions for users.
- Manage user sessions and track workflow progress when patients return to the platform.
- Handle message delivery status updates, callbacks, and error tracking to maintain system reliability.
- Enforce strict security protocols to protect patient information, preventing exposure via RCS, SMS, links, or logs.
- Maintain tenant isolation and ensure existing platform functionality remains intact throughout the integration process.

The initial phase of the project is a discovery milestone. During this phase, the developer will review the current platform and integration requirements, recommend the most appropriate RCS provider and technical approach, and demonstrate messaging, portal handoff, and SMS fallback using test data. This phase does not require production credentials or real patient data. Additionally, the developer will provide an estimated timeline and cost for the full integration based on findings from this phase.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with RCS Business Messaging and integrating messaging APIs.
- Strong skills in implementing SMS fallback mechanisms and handling delivery webhooks.
- Proficiency in backend development and API integration.
- Deep understanding of authentication, data security, and healthcare privacy regulations.
