React Native Engineer

We are looking for a skilled React Native Engineer based in Lahore to join our team in a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience and a strong background in building resilient, high-performance mobile applications. This role focuses on leveraging AI-augmented development tools to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining a robust offline-first architecture. Key Responsibilities

- Utilize AI-native coding tools such as Cursor and Copilot to streamline development, manage boilerplate code, and generate TypeScript interfaces, ensuring rapid and efficient feature delivery.
- Design and implement offline-first architectures that guarantee full app functionality without network connectivity by employing resilient local-first data strategies.
- Develop reliable background synchronization engines with retry mechanisms and conflict resolution to maintain data consistency when connectivity is restored.
- Implement optimistic UI updates that immediately reflect user actions before server confirmation, delivering a zero-latency experience.
- Lead architectural decisions regarding on-device storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, normalization, and optimal performance across the application.

Required Qualifications

- Proficient in AI-native data modeling and Data Transfer Objects (DTOs), including generating and maintaining TypeScript DTOs that map backend responses to local storage schemas.
- Experience implementing runtime validation layers using libraries such as Zod or Superstruct to enforce strict type safety.
- Skilled in architecting efficient data mappers that normalize API data without compromising UI performance.
- Expertise in sophisticated state management, including layered strategies for server state (TanStack Query), global client state (Zustand or Redux), and local UI state (useState).
- Strong understanding of treating the local database (MMKV or SQLite) as the primary source of truth, with the network layer used solely for synchronization purposes.
- Ability to apply AI-assisted logic for complex optimistic updates to ensure instant UI reflection of data changes.
- Proven experience building offline-first resilience features, including background sync engines with pending action queues, clear conflict resolution rules (Last-Write-Wins, Versioning), and thorough edge case testing.
- Advanced TypeScript skills, including the use of generics and utility types for creating reusable, type-safe DTOs.
- Mastery of state persistence and cache invalidation techniques using Zustand and TanStack Query.
- Familiarity with AI tooling for code refactoring and boilerplate generation that avoids technical debt.
- Capability to manage large local datasets (10,000+ records) efficiently without degrading UI performance.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution strategies such as Last-Write-Wins, Versioning, and Conflict-free Replicated Data Types (CRDTs).
