Receptionist (Outpatient Services), Urology - Outpt

The Aga Khan University Hospital is seeking a Receptionist for its Outpatient Services based in Karachi, Pakistan. This role is integral to supporting the hospital’s Outreach Services, which extend healthcare access through Clinical Laboratories, Outpatient Medical Centres, Pharmacy services, Home Health, and other community-based offerings. The Outpatient Medical Centres provide a variety of specialty clinics, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Cardiopulmonary, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Physiotherapy. These centres cater to patients of all ages, from children to the elderly, offering both general health checks and consultations for specific conditions. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support by managing phone calls and scheduling patient appointments efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and ensure proper billing by charging services to patient accounts.
- Assist patients, their relatives, and visitors by addressing their needs and facilitating smooth interactions within the outpatient setting.
- Communicate any patient-related issues or concerns promptly to the supervisor to ensure timely resolution.
- Actively participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing service delivery.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- At least one year of experience, preferably in a front office or receptionist role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Urdu.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with common software applications.
- Willingness to work in shifts as per operational requirements.
