Recruit AI is seeking a detail-oriented Uk Junior Accountant with at least one year of experience to support the financial operations team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting principles. This role involves assisting with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. The Junior Accountant will also leverage AI and digital tools to enhance productivity and reporting accuracy. This position does not include team management but requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure financial data integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities
Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger transactions, to support smooth accounting operations. Process invoices, payments, receipts, and related documents efficiently to ensure timely financial recording. Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations regularly to verify data accuracy and prepare for reporting.

Support the finance team in preparing monthly and management financial reports by updating spreadsheets and documents, primarily using Microsoft Excel. Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and collaborate with internal departments to resolve any accounting-related queries. Utilize AI-powered digital tools to improve research, reporting, and documentation efficiency. Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes by assisting with necessary accounting tasks and complete any additional duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
