The FMCG Accountant at Recruit AI is responsible for managing the daily financial operations of FMCG retail outlets or restaurant branches. This role involves meticulous tracking and reconciliation of sales data, managing petty cash, monitoring expenses, overseeing payroll disbursement, and supporting accurate financial reporting. The accountant ensures all financial transactions comply with company policies, controls food cost, and maintains alignment with inventory management practices. While this position does not require team management, it demands close coordination with branch managers, cashiers, and store in-charge personnel to ensure seamless financial operations. This position requires a candidate with 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the restaurant, hotel, or retail FMCG sectors. The role calls for strong proficiency in MS Excel, familiarity with POS and accounting software, and hands-on experience with inventory and food cost control. The candidate must be detail-oriented, possess high integrity, and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines. The FMCG Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy, controlling operational costs, and contributing to the overall financial health of the branch.
Responsibilities

  • Record all daily financial transactions through accurate data entry operations.
  • Perform daily sales reconciliation by comparing POS data against cash, card, and online receipts.
  • Verify revenue reports and ensure timely deposit of daily cash collections.
  • Monitor, control, and document petty cash transactions to prevent discrepancies.
  • Record and validate daily operational expenses, maintaining proper invoice and voucher documentation.
  • Coordinate with store management to obtain stock consumption reports and assist in monthly inventory counts and valuations.
  • Track food cost percentages and report any variances to support cost control efforts.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly expense summaries for the branch.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company financial policies, documentation, and audit requirements.
  • Support senior accounting staff during monthly closing processes by providing accurate financial data.
  • Perform bank dealings and manage fund transfers to maintain optimal cash flow.
  • Process salary disbursements efficiently and accurately.
  • Manage cash flow to support smooth branch financial operations.
  • Collaborate effectively with branch managers, cashiers, and store in-charge personnel to ensure financial accuracy and operational compliance.
  • Work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and integrity.
