In this capacity, the incumbent must bring substantial technical expertise in automotive repair and fleet maintenance, with particular emphasis on diesel, hybrid, and electric buses. Though this role does not include team management responsibilities, it involves a significant leadership presence to ensure compliance with company standard operating procedures, promote a culture of safety, and drive continuous improvement within workshop practices. The ability to prepare detailed technical and operational reports and effectively communicate with management is essential.
Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of workshop operations including preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance of the vehicle fleet to ensure operational readiness and safety compliance.
Coordinate and manage inventory and spare parts to maintain optimal stock levels, reducing downtime and improving workshop efficiency.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to workshop productivity, vehicle turnaround times, and maintenance quality, producing detailed reports for senior management review.
Ensure compliance with established safety protocols, technical standards, and regulatory requirements across all workshop activities.
Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to facilitate efficient procurement and servicing procedures, enhancing workshop capabilities and service delivery.
Supervise retrofitting and technical improvement initiatives aimed at upgrading fleet performance and extending vehicle lifecycle.
Apply deep technical diagnostics and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex maintenance challenges with diesel, hybrid, and electric buses.
Implement cost optimization strategies while maintaining high standards of quality and safety in maintenance operations.
Promote a safety-oriented leadership approach and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the workshop environment.
Prepare comprehensive operational and technical documentation to support decision-making and ensure transparency in workshop management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging automotive technologies and regulatory developments relevant to fleet maintenance.
Travel as required (20%-30%) to coordinate with other operational locations and stakeholders, ensuring uniformity in workshop standards and practices.
