Quality Control (QC) Officer

The Quality Control (QC) Officer at Recruit AI plays a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and comply with company specifications. This position involves conducting thorough inspections and tests at various stages of the manufacturing process to detect any defects, deviations, or non-conformities. The QC Officer closely monitors production lines, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation to support continuous quality improvement efforts. This role requires strong collaboration with production, engineering, and other departments to enforce quality control procedures and resolve issues effectively. While this position does not involve managing a team, the QC Officer is expected to work independently and contribute positively to the overall quality culture within the organization. The ideal candidate possesses a Diploma of Associate Engineering in Mechanical or a related discipline, with a minimum of two years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management standards is valuable for success in this role. The QC Officer will utilize hands-on experience with various testing and inspection equipment and apply their strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to maintain and enhance product quality. Competency in basic computer applications and effective communication skills are essential to fulfill daily responsibilities and support audit activities effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections and tests to ensure products comply with specifications and standards.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to detect quality issues, deviations, or defects and initiate appropriate corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of inspection results, test data, and quality reports to support quality tracking and audits.
- Implement, uphold, and continuously improve quality control procedures, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
- Support root cause analysis and assist with corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives to eliminate recurring quality issues.
- Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and other relevant departments to maintain quality standards and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Calibrate, maintain, and properly operate testing and inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials and products following company protocols to prevent distribution of defective items.
- Assist with internal quality audits and provide support during external or customer audits as required.
- Contribute to the development of a continuous improvement culture and promote quality awareness across the manufacturing floor.
