The Senior Java Software Engineer works on advanced payment and fintech systems critical to global financial operations. The position emphasizes real-time transaction processing, secure authentication, and API security within PCI-compliant environments. The candidate will build microservices-enabled backend architectures and leverage containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes to enable scalable deployments across cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP. The role also requires deep knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka and a strong understanding of fintech ecosystem players and platforms such as Ant Group, WeChat Pay, and regional payment solutions. This opportunity does not include team management but demands exceptional technical expertise and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse international teams to meet demanding fintech requirements.
Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, secure backend services and APIs tailored for fintech and payment platforms.
Create SDKs, integration components, and reusable developer frameworks to accelerate fintech integrations.
Implement payment gateway and digital wallet integrations supporting multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-tenant architectures.
Develop and maintain distributed systems ensuring high availability, transaction reliability, and real-time processing.
Apply cybersecurity best practices by implementing secure authentication, authorization, and API security protocols including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
Collaborate closely with international product, engineering, and partner teams to align fintech solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Support production deployments, monitor system performance, and optimize backend services to deliver high throughput and low latency.
Design, optimize, and manage database schemas ensuring efficient query performance and data integrity.
Leverage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes to streamline deployment and scaling.
Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to improve software delivery cycles and maintain code quality.
Integrate with messaging systems such as Kafka to support asynchronous event-driven payment workflows.
Maintain compliance with fintech regulatory standards and payment industry security requirements, including PCI DSS.
Stay updated with emerging fintech trends and technologies to innovate and improve payment platform capabilities.
Engage in troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues to maintain system stability and customer satisfaction.
Document technical designs, configurations, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ongoing maintenance.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high coding standards.
