We are actively seeking a Jr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team.
Your role will be to test our application and server intensively to discover every flaw and obsessively advocate for perfection before deployment to the users.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Perform functional testing, regression testing and assist the customer during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Developing test cases for our mobile application, web server, and web-based user interface which will become part of our pre-release regression tests.
- Work with developers and product owners to refine the test criteria of product requests.
- Act as a representative of the users to the product team to ensure that the product fulfils the needs of the users.
- Track defects through our Jira ticketing system and ensures that problems identified are fixed.
- Create new automated tests, as well as maintain existing Automated tests.
- Executes established test automation for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
- Expertise in gathering and analyzing requirements, writing system test plans, developing requirement traceability matrixes (RTM), writing bug documentation, and developing test summary reports for manual testing.
- Use tools and techniques to execute test cases.
- The document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using ALM/Octane or another specified tool.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in computer science.
- Analytical mind and business acumen.
- A compulsive need to be detailed and specific.
- Able to be creative in imagining ways a user can interact with a product.
- Working knowledge of server-side development and APIs.
- Development, UI/UX, or IT operations experience.
