Regional Coordinator serves as the focal point for planning, implementing, and monitoring Benazir Nashonuma Program activities at the cluster level, with a particular focus on the effective operation of Facilitation Centres. The role ensures that Centres function as transparent, accountable service hubs delivering nutrition support, counselling, and health referrals to pregnant and lactating women and children under two. By coordinating stakeholders, supervising staff, and maintaining quality standards, the RC guarantees that Facilitation Centres operate efficiently, align with program objectives, and contribute to improved maternal and child nutrition outcomes. The assigned locations must be shared with WFP monitors and the Provincial Office. RC must closely coordinate with the DHO Office, BISP, NADRA, and the FC Medical Superintendent, and maintain properly documented meeting minutes.


Responsibilities
  1. Regional Coordinator must ensure call operator data is accessible at each FC, with complete remarks and follow-up notes for position justification. Maintain and monitor FC infrastructure and service standards, including:

    • Visibility board (availability, visibility, and updated log)

    • Beneficiary waiting area (basic facilities such as fans and water in working condition)

    • Adequate seating capacity

    • Functional washroom facilities

    • Availability and condition of furniture

    • Drinking water and water cooler (availability and functionality)

    • Updated visibility materials, including BFB banners

    • Dedicated breastfeeding area (availability, condition, and usage)

    • Functional session/counselling room

    • LED screens (working condition and updated content)

    • UPS and solar systems (availability and operational status)

    • Internet connectivity and contingency arrangements

    • Tablets (availability and functionality)

    • Valid staff IDs

    • Compliance status and call updates

    • Conduct stock verification by reconciling physical stock with application records, stock registers, and stock cards.

    • Monitor storeroom capacity, food stock levels, and maintain records of empty sachets and cartons.

    • Ensure staff attendance registers are properly maintained in line with the agreed FLA.

  2. Regional Coordinator must submit a monthly work plan, ensure its implementation, and share key findings from field visits. During each visit, photographic evidence (including FC signboard) must be captured as Means of Verification (MOV).

  3. The call operator must be locally based within the district, with staff fluent in local languages and familiar with all locations.

  4. A crowd controller must be deployed at each FC as per BNP 3.0 modality.

  5. FC level records must include:

    • Call forward copies

    • Records of minor repairs ( work details) stationery, cleaning, and fumigation

  6. The Regional Coordinator must ensure to

    1. Participate in Cluster level planning and review meetings.

    2. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with line departments, organizations, local partners, and stakeholders in the respective districts.

    3. Facilitate the exchange of information and experiences among stakeholders.

    4. Coordinate team members field travel and ensure they have timely access to necessary information, equipment, and support.

    5. Maintain close coordination with the team and report daily, weekly, and monthly to the provincial office.

    6. Minimize overdue follow-ups for beneficiaries flagged as red or yellow cases.

    7. Ensure Conduct active screening, anthropometric measurements, beneficiary enrollments, and distribution of supplies.

    8. Manage supply chain and storage effectively.

    9. Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports for submission to the Line Manager.

  7. Perform any other tasks assigned by the project Manager.
