Relationship Manager Deposit

Mobilink Microfinance Bank Ltd. (MMBL) is seeking a Relationship Manager for Deposit Banking to play a pivotal role in managing and expanding relationships with individual and corporate clients. This position focuses on acquiring new clients, retaining existing ones, and ensuring that all deposit banking needs are met efficiently. The Relationship Manager will contribute significantly to deposit growth, customer satisfaction, and overall portfolio development by implementing sales strategies and delivering tailored financial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute sales strategies and customer acquisition processes to meet and exceed portfolio growth and cross-selling targets.
- Achieve assigned portfolio targets across products such as Current Account, Savings Account (CASA), and Term Deposits (TD) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Recruit and onboard freelancers and brand ambassadors to build a deposit mobilization team of approximately 25 members focused on retail deposit marketing.
- Maintain the targeted portfolio mix between CASA and Term Deposits to ensure balanced growth.
- Drive retail deposit growth by promoting fairly priced deposit products and encouraging multiple account holdings.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients to develop ongoing business opportunities.
- Mobilize deposits across a broad base of accounts to minimize concentration risk and portfolio volatility.
- Consistently open new-to-bank (NTB) accounts daily to sustain deposit mobilization efforts.
- Collaborate with branch staff to provide the highest level of customer service.
- Identify clients’ financial needs and offer need-based solutions, including Payments & Cash Management, Trade Services, Treasury, and Investment Banking, in coordination with Area or Regional Managers.
- Maintain deep client relationships to maximize business value and explore 360-degree opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities to proactively retain and satisfy MMBL clients.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
- Complete any additional tasks or assignments efficiently as directed by the Line Manager.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Marketing, Economics, or Finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales planning, management, and operations within retail or consumer banking.
- Strong understanding of deposit products and their operational mechanisms.
- Knowledge of CASA fundamentals and strategies to achieve CASA growth.
