Remote AI & Automation Specialist

Allied Roofing & Construction, a reputable exterior construction company with over 30 years of experience serving residential and commercial clients in Northern New Jersey, is seeking a Remote AI & Automation Specialist. This role involves designing, building, and enhancing automation systems to streamline internal workflows, integrate various platforms, and reduce manual tasks. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, self-driven, and passionate about leveraging AI and automation to address practical business challenges. Preference is given to candidates based in Pakistan who are motivated to create efficient, error-reducing systems that enhance overall company operations.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize automation solutions that support sales, production, marketing, administration, and customer communications. Integrate company systems such as CRMs, spreadsheets, calendars, communication tools, and reporting dashboards to create seamless workflows. Utilize AI tools and automation platforms to minimize repetitive manual work and improve efficiency. Design workflows for lead routing, follow-up reminders, internal task management, client communication, data cleanup, reporting, scheduling, document organization, and sales-to-production handoffs. Work with AI coding assistants, automation builders, APIs, webhooks, scripts, and no-code/low-code platforms to build practical internal tools. Evaluate, test, and implement AI tools that enhance company processes. Identify automation opportunities by reviewing existing workflows and troubleshoot integration issues as they arise. Document all automations clearly to ensure easy maintenance and future improvements. Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, practical language. Collaborate closely with company leadership to prioritize automation projects based on business impact.

Required Qualifications
Proven experience in developing automations, AI workflows, internal tools, or business process systems is essential. Proficiency with AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or similar tools is required. Experience with automation platforms like n8n, Make, Zapier, or equivalents is necessary. Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages including JavaScript or Python is expected. Knowledge of CRM or project management system integrations is important. Experience automating Google Workspace and working with platforms such as Airtable, Notion, Monday.com, or ClickUp is highly valued. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions are critical. Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting abilities are required. Candidates must be able to work independently while managing multiple technical tasks. Strong written English communication skills are essential, and verbal English proficiency is highly preferred. A reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup are necessary. Availability for regular overlap with U.S. Eastern Time working hours is required. Submission of a portfolio, GitHub projects, automation examples, or video walkthroughs is strongly encouraged.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with AI agent tools, workflow builders, or custom business automation solutions is a significant advantage. This position is offered as an independent contractor role with a suggested pay range of $15 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, technical skills, and communication abilities. Exceptional candidates with advanced AI and automation expertise may receive higher compensation. Full-time engagement is preferred, though part-time or project-based arrangements may be considered for highly qualified applicants. The role is fully remote with long-term potential and provides direct access to company leadership.
