Remote Pod Lead

The role involves leading a small team of annotators in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing daily team activities, ensuring adherence to guidelines, and delivering high-quality results on time. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills to support and guide annotators, resolve issues, and maintain consistent performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily activities of the annotation pod and provide support to annotators as needed.
- Clarify guideline questions and address recurring issues to maintain quality.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to share project updates and align the team.
- Onboard new annotators and assist them during their initial tasks to ensure smooth integration.
- Monitor pod performance and identify recurring quality concerns for timely intervention.
- Coordinate retraining sessions and verify annotators’ readiness before resuming tasks.
- Report progress, blockers, and support needs regularly to the Team Lead.

Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or coordinating team members.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills combined with a problem-solving mindset.
- Prior experience in annotation, data labeling, or AI training data is preferred but not mandatory.

This is a project-based role involving a set number of evaluation tasks. Each task requires comparing multiple chatbots and providing a final assessment based on defined criteria. The work schedule includes five working days per week, which may include weekends, with two weekdays off. Working hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST). The duration of the project is 16 weeks.
