Aga Khan University, a prestigious private international institution established in 1983, is inviting applications for the position of Resident Medical Officer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at its Karachi campus. The University is widely recognized for its commitment to excellence in education, research, and healthcare delivery, supported by the Aga Khan University Hospital, which offers state-of-the-art clinical and diagnostic services. The Department provides extensive inpatient and outpatient care encompassing general obstetrics, gynecology, lactation consultancy, family planning, and parenting education. It also delivers specialized services in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, and Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology, along with postgraduate residency and fellowship training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine clinical duties including participation in on-call shifts and conducting patient rounds alongside consultants in the assigned ward.
- Carry out thorough pre-operative assessments and ensure all related documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Collaborate effectively with primary care teams to maintain continuity and quality of patient care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain detailed and precise clinical documentation, including notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Demonstrate competency in procedural skills by assisting or independently performing clinical tasks while minimizing risks and complications.
- Provide patients with clear post-operative medication instructions and guidance to support their recovery and healthcare needs.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and remain updated on best practices to ensure patient and staff safety.

Required Qualifications:
- MBBS degree with a valid license from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
- At least three months of clinical experience or completion of a one-year internship/house job in Obstetrics and Gynaecology or related fields.
- Candidates who have passed Part 1 of the FCPS or completed FCPS Part 2 training requirements will also be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
- Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive employment reference checks as part of the recruitment process.
