Retail Assistant Manager

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in the smooth and efficient running of daily store operations. This role involves overseeing transaction processes, managing inventory, coordinating team activities, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with retail POS and inventory management systems, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining store standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Store Manager in daily operations and assist in decision-making to achieve store goals.
- Oversee and optimize the use of Retail POS Systems to ensure efficient and accurate transactions.
- Manage inventory levels using Inventory Management Systems to avoid stockouts and overstocking, conducting regular audits and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinate team communication and scheduling through Microsoft Teams to maintain smooth workflow.
- Train and supervise staff on POS and inventory procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and maintain store cleanliness and visual merchandising standards.
- Monitor sales performance, prepare detailed reports for management, and collaborate with the Store Manager to develop effective sales strategies.
- Handle customer complaints professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of store staff.
- Manage cash handling processes and perform daily financial reconciliation.
- Implement promotional activities and monitor their effectiveness to drive sales growth.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 3 years of experience in retail management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Retail POS Systems such as Square or Shopify POS.
- Experience with Inventory Management Systems like TradeGecko or Zoho Inventory.

Additional Information

This position requires urgent joining and is based on-site. The monthly salary starts from Rs 45,000. Candidates should be prepared to work in person and contribute actively to the store’s success.
