Retail Civil Engineering Supervisor - TJ / 1863222

Our client, a leading petroleum company, is seeking a Retail Civil Engineering Supervisor based in Rawalpindi. This role is pivotal in overseeing civil engineering activities at retail sites, ensuring that both new construction and maintenance projects meet high standards of safety, quality, and timely completion. The supervisor will manage civil works related to retail infrastructure, guaranteeing operational readiness and structural integrity of outlets. The position requires close coordination with various stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and Requests for Quotations (RFQs) for retail site projects.
- Supervise on-site civil works in accordance with approved designs and drawings.
- Manage contractors at the site and provide technical advice to dealers or their representatives regarding engineering matters.
- Oversee technical and feasibility studies, surveys, and site investigations conducted by third parties.
- Arrange for testing and inspection of materials prior to installation to reduce non-conformance issues.
- Verify quantities against BOQs and site measurements for accurate billing purposes.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination with dealers, designers, and the retail team to ensure timely project completion.
- Prepare and monitor project plans, submitting regular progress reports to management.
- Manage design changes and ensure all relevant parties are informed promptly.
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines, health, and safety regulations at all sites.
- Ensure projects run smoothly, are completed on time, and stay within budget.
- Address any project deficiencies affecting operations, quality, or safety before final evaluations and reviews.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all site activities.
- Conduct frequent site visits to dealers for smooth execution according to approved drawings.
- Support the engineering maintenance team by addressing civil-related complaints and ensuring their timely resolution. This includes quality assurance and facilitating timely payments to contractors.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of five years’ experience in civil engineering, preferably within retail infrastructure or similar sectors.
- Proven expertise in project management, vendor relations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong ability to prepare detailed BOQs and handle RFQs efficiently.
- Hands-on experience in supervising construction compliance, quality control, and resource management.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and legal standards related to civil engineering projects.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
