Retail Pharmacy Audit Officer

Healthwire is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Audit Officer responsible for accurately counting, recording, and reconciling physical inventory to ensure alignment between stock records, financial data, and system information. The role involves conducting thorough audits at warehouse and pharmacy outlets to maintain inventory integrity and support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct both scheduled and surprise stock counts and audits across warehouses and pharmacy locations.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records, identifying and reporting any variances, shortages, or excess inventory.
- Monitor expiry and near-expiry medicines, ensuring proper handling and removal in accordance with company policies.
- Verify batch numbers, storage conditions, and compliance with cold-chain and controlled item requirements.
- Audit stock handling processes including receiving, dispensing, returns, and inter-location transfers.
- Investigate discrepancies, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare clear and timely audit reports, communicating findings effectively to management.
- Follow up with outlet and warehouse teams to ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Maintain accurate audit documentation and assist with internal and external audit processes.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in retail pharmacy, particularly in stock handling, dispensing, store operations, or inventory control.
- Educational background including D.Pharm, B.Pharm, Pharm-D, pharmacy technician certification, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of medicine categories, expiry management, and pharmacy stock practices.
- Solid understanding of stock reconciliation and inventory record-keeping.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and a strong sense of accountability.
