This position is being recruited by Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA), a strategic national initiative aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s agri-trade ecosystem. NAFSA focuses on enhancing regulatory oversight, facilitation, and modernization of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will join NAFSA’s foundational team, playing a key role in developing systems, processes, and institutional capabilities to support the organization’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will support the end-to-end billing, invoicing, and collection processes for NAFSA service fees and receipts, ensuring compliance with approved fee schedules, applicable rules, and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs). This includes preparing invoices and bills, maintaining billing trackers, and ensuring the accuracy of fee computations along with the completeness of supporting documentation. Timely issuance of invoices to stakeholders and clients is essential.
Maintaining revenue registers and supporting schedules is a critical part of the role. This involves tracking invoices raised, receipts collected, outstanding receivables, exemptions or waivers (if applicable), and adjustments, all while ensuring traceability and audit readiness. The candidate will also reconcile receipts with bank deposits, scrolls, and operational data such as inspection, certification, or permit transactions, preparing reconciliation statements periodically.
Coordination with operational units and relevant Wings is required to obtain fee assessment inputs, validate transaction data, and resolve any discrepancies in billing or receipt records. The role includes following up on outstanding payments, coordinating reminders and notices as per SOPs, and escalating persistent overdue cases to the Deputy Director for further action.
Supporting month-end and periodic revenue closing activities is necessary, including preparing supporting schedules, aging reports, and documentation for reporting and financial statement purposes. The candidate must maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all revenue activities, including approvals, correspondence, reconciliations, deposit evidence, and adjustment notes. Timely support for internal and external audit queries is also expected.
Additionally, the candidate will assist in preparing periodic revenue performance reports and dashboards that highlight collection trends, receivables aging, and variances against estimates for management review. Any other duties assigned by the Deputy Director (Revenue & Fees) consistent with NAFSA’s mandate will also be part of the responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (16 years of education) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in revenue, collections, or accounts management. Strong attention to detail and integrity are essential qualities for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and effective record-keeping skills are also necessary to manage the financial data accurately.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While no additional preferred qualifications or benefits are explicitly mentioned, the opportunity to be part of a foundational team in a national-level authority presents a unique career growth prospect. The role offers exposure to the development of institutional capabilities in a strategic sector, providing valuable experience in regulatory and financial processes within the agri-trade and food safety ecosystem.
This position offers a chance to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s agri-trade modernization efforts through meticulous financial management and collaboration across multiple operational units.
