We are looking for a Business Development Team Lead for Software Development Projects to join our commercial team. You must have experience in bidding, closing deals and managing software development projects. The ideal candidate must have their own Upwork profile and will need to have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as a working knowledge of common freelance services’ platforms such as Fiverr or Upwork. This position is ideally suited for a software developer with commercial acumen who has already shifted to a business development role. You will primarily be responsible for lead generation, this includes bidding for projects on freelancer platforms. The role may be developed in multiple directions, including attending client interviews and closing deals, and/or managing on-going client relationships.
If you’re an experienced software developer with excellent communication skills and a passion for business, then this role is perfect for you. We expect you to be motivated and results-driven, and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Qualify software development leads posted on freelancer platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork
- Gather requirements, present proposals and bids to suitable potential clients
- Arrange interviews, calls and meetings with prospects to discuss proposals
- Respond to new customer queries in a timely manner
- Close deals and manage a customer’s on-going requirements
- Develop exceptional long-term customer relationships
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- At least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Atleast 3 years of experience in bidding and managing software development projects.
- Expertise in MS Excel (handling complex data, analysing spreadsheets and charts)
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
- Must have your own Upwork profile with income of minimum $4,000
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent IT skills
