Riphah International University seeks an experienced Associate Professor specializing in Fluid Mechanics to join the academic faculty. The ideal candidate holds a PhD from an HEC recognized university or degree awarding institution, with equivalence confirmed for foreign degrees. This position requires a minimum of five years of university teaching experience, demonstrating capability in both delivering academic courses and advancing research. The successful candidate will engage in experimental fluid mechanics and contribute to the development of curriculum and research methodology within the department. This role involves a commitment to both teaching and scholarly activities within the field of fluid mechanics without direct team management responsibilities.
The associate professor will be responsible for fostering a robust research environment by guiding graduate student projects and publishing high-quality research papers. Candidates must have a strong record of publishing at least fifteen research papers in HEC recognized journals, including ten in the W category and five in the X category, with at least five publications in the last five years. Additionally, the professor will have demonstrated experience supervising numerous theses, including at least five M.Phil and one Ph.D. thesis, reflecting dedication to academic mentorship and research excellence at Riphah International University.
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures on fluid mechanics and related subjects using effective academic teaching methodologies.
- Develop and update course materials incorporating the latest research and experimental techniques in fluid mechanics.
- Conduct and lead original research in experimental fluid mechanics, publishing findings in reputable HEC recognized journals.
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate students in their research projects, including M.Phil and Ph.D. theses, ensuring academic rigor and timely completion.
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of research methodology and curricula within the department to support academic and research excellence.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university academic committees to advance institutional objectives.
- Maintain active engagement with the scientific community through conferences, workshops, and collaborative research endeavors.
- Ensure compliance with university guidelines and maintain high standards of academic integrity and ethical research conduct.
- Stay current with advancements in fluid mechanics and related disciplines to continuously improve teaching and research practices.
