Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the hospital’s operational strategy in alignment with the university’s mission and vision.
- Lead and manage a diverse team of 20 professionals across operations, finance, quality improvement, and IT departments.
- Oversee financial management including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and responsibility for profit and loss to ensure financial sustainability.
- Implement and maintain healthcare quality standards compliant with JCI, Accreditation Canada, and other relevant accreditation organizations.
- Drive strategic planning initiatives and monitor progress against key performance indicators and operational goals.
- Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical departments to improve patient care quality and operational efficiency.
- Manage the integration and optimization of hospital information technology systems (HIMS) to enhance service delivery and data management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance effectiveness, reduce costs, and elevate patient satisfaction levels.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements affecting hospital operation and healthcare delivery.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to align hospital operations with educational goals.
- Lead initiatives aimed at strengthening financial sustainability, including resource allocation and revenue cycle management.
