Riphah International University seeks a highly motivated Manager for Business Development & Sustainability to develop and implement effective growth strategies while promoting sustainability aligned with environmental, social, and governance standards. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving sustainability initiatives that support the university's long-term success and corporate responsibility goals. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a comprehensive understanding of sustainability frameworks, and business acumen honed over a decade of relevant experience.
Although this role does not involve team management, it requires close coordination with multiple internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and continuous performance improvement. The candidate will prepare detailed reports and analyses to influence decision-making and will monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and sustainability commitments, promoting operational efficiency and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and enhance sustainability practices consistent with organizational objectives and ESG principles.
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, market trends, and partnership potentials to expand the organization's reach and impact.
- Lead sustainability initiatives including the preparation of sustainability reports using recognized standards such as GRI and SASB, ensuring transparent and accurate disclosure.
- Monitor and analyze operational efficiency, environmental impact, and corporate social responsibility activities to align with established sustainability frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate effectively across departments and with external partners, ensuring timely and successful project delivery and implementation of sustainability programs.
- Prepare comprehensive business and performance reports to support strategic planning and management decision-making processes.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis incorporating SWOT and scenario planning methodologies to refine business and sustainability strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including GxP and other relevant standards, managing audits and utilizing audit management software where applicable.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to support sustainability goals and business development growth.
- Utilize balanced scorecard methodology to measure performance against key sustainability and business metrics, fostering continuous improvement.
