My City Hospital, a trust-based multi-specialty healthcare facility, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Resident Medical Officer (R.M.O.) for the Emergency Department. This role involves working alternate night shifts to provide high-quality emergency care. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to accurately diagnose and treat various medical conditions within emergency medicine. Develop and implement effective treatment plans, including prescribing medications, making specialist referrals, and advising patients on lifestyle modifications. Provide patient education focused on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication adherence. Manage both acute and chronic illnesses efficiently while ensuring timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Clinical Operations:
Participate actively in departmental quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards. Adhere strictly to all relevant clinical protocols and guidelines. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment to support optimal patient outcomes. Assist in the training and supervision of junior medical staff when applicable, fostering a collaborative and educational workplace.
Professional Development:
Engage in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and skills. Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and best practices in emergency care to ensure delivery of evidence-based treatment.
Required Qualifications
Education:
MBBS or an equivalent medical degree from a recognized university or Higher Education Commission (HEC) accredited institution.
Licensure/Certification:
Possession of a valid medical license to practice within the relevant jurisdiction.
Experience:
Open to fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience in emergency settings.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach. Excellent diagnostic and clinical judgment capabilities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Effective time management and organizational skills are essential.
Employment Details
This is a part-time, contract position requiring approximately 12.5 hours per shift during alternate night hours. The role reports directly to the Head of Department and Medical Director of the Emergency Department. The monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 70,000 to Rs. 75,000. The work location is on-site at My City Hospital.
