Job Summary:
The Deputy Manager Finance will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the achievement of the company's goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support the overall financial planning process.
- Analyze financial data and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and review financial transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, investments, and projects.
- Manage and supervise the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the team's effectiveness and professional development.
- Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic business opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, with a minimum of 7 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial reporting tools, Peachtree).
- Solid understanding of relevant financial regulations, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
