At Daraz Express (DEX) Pakistan, the Route Lead for First-Mile Fleet Pickups plays a critical role in managing the upstream logistics network. Unlike last-mile delivery roles, this position focuses on collecting packages from sellers, warehouses, and dropship centers throughout Lahore and ensuring their timely and efficient transfer to central sorting hubs. The role demands strong coordination, route optimization, and stakeholder management to maintain smooth operations in the first-mile segment of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

- Seller Pickup Optimization: Develop and implement efficient daily pickup routes targeting high-volume seller clusters such as Shah Alam Market, Hafeez Center, Hall Road, and various industrial zones. This involves mapping routes to maximize fleet utilization and reduce turnaround times.

- Capacity Planning: Adjust fleet size and vehicle types dynamically based on the volume of pending seller orders. This is especially crucial during peak sales campaigns like 11.11 and 12.12, where demand surges require agile resource allocation between loading vans and bikes.

- SLA Enforcement: Monitor and ensure that the dispatch team adheres strictly to agreed pickup time windows. Timely pickups are vital to prevent bottlenecks and delays in moving stock to the central sorting hub.

- Seller Relationship Management: Act as the primary logistics escalation point for major sellers in Lahore. Address concerns related to delayed pickups, vehicle availability, and package handoff disputes, maintaining strong communication and trust with key stakeholders.

- Fulfillment Sorting Handoff: Coordinate closely with the receiving team at the main Lahore sorting center to manage inbound fleet arrivals effectively. The goal is to avoid dock congestion and ensure smooth package handoffs.

- First-Mile Compliance: Enforce accurate electronic scanning and manifesting of packages at the seller’s location. This ensures real-time tracking visibility and maintains data integrity throughout the first-mile process.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with prior experience in logistics or fleet management.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic logistics operation within a leading e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability during high-demand periods, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
