We are a local CPA firm which is looking for a remote bookkeeper candidate. The perfect candidate will have the following qualifications:Able to implement the USA GAAP accrual basis concept with customer invoices and contractor bills.

  • The applicant needs to prove that he/she has taken all of the required steps to book an accrual contractor bill into QuickBooks online.
  • Accrual recording means, taking steps such as: ensuring that the invoice is recorded to the correct period (based on the service description and the date), verifying if the invoice needs to be allocated over a certain part of the month, checking if it is a prepaid expense, etc.
  • The actual recording should be based on guidelines of these nature.
  • Strong ability to implement the following cost centers: S&M, G&A, COGS, and R&D.
  • The candidate will have to review the changes and determine which cost center the charge belong to.
  • Familiar with entering payroll transactions from a third-party US vendors (like Trinet, ADP, etc.) into QuickBooks online.
  • The ability to amortize and record subscription income in a monthly accrual manner.
  • The applicant should be able to put together a waterfall chart that shows the period of income and records it on the books, along with the supporting documents
  • Ability to reconcile and make adjustments to the deferred Income and Expense accrual accounts.
  • The candidate is expected to work independently and with minimal supervision through accepting assignments through completion.
  • The candidate is expected to be available. If you are taking multiple clients, then this posting is not for you.
