Position Summary

The ServiceNow Integration Expert is a multidisciplinary role that develops, implements, and supports multi-platform integration solutions. The ServiceNow integration Expert is a skilled and innovative technologist who will build and maintain integration pipelines while also ensuring that these integrations are fully utilized to enhance platforms beyond normal capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop new and legacy integrations across numerous platforms, using various integration technologies
  • Design, develop, and maintain integration flows using an array of different platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, and data formats.
  • Develop integrations that are designed and implemented as reusable building blocks.
  • Build scalable solutions to solve current and future integration challenges.
  • Collaborate, review code, and build with other engineers to ensure each integration maintains a consistent level of technical standards as set by the team.
  • Create and maintain technical designs, sequence diagrams, and other systems integration + operations related documents
  • Document technical details clearly to various stakeholders of different technical levels
  • Support the daily stability of ATSG’s integration ecosystem.
  • 50/50 split on General Integration Development and ServiceNow Backend Development.
  • Heavy collaboration with team members during Eastern US hours
  • Be available for the occasional extended hours when tight deadlines need to be met.
  • Complete other duties as assigned

REQUIRED

  • AT LEAST 3000 hours of Hands-on development experience with integration technologies and building integrations across various platforms.
  • Programming
  • At least 1500 hours of DEDICATED for ServiceNow (Glide-related) scripting 
  • OR At least 3000 hours DEDICATED for JavaScript programming
  • OR At least 5000 hours DEDICATED for any other Object-Oriented Language 
  • OR a combination of the above 3 competencies
  • AT LEAST 1500 hours of DEDICATED ETL Engineering/Development
  •  AT LEAST 1000 hours of ITSM/Ticketing-System Integration/Development/Administration
  • AT LEAST 250 hours of writing AUTOMATION SCRIPTS (Powershell, Groovy, Bash, Python, or PHP)
  • Expert understanding of integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, ETL, XML, and JSON
  • Expert understanding of data manipulation and distribution
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS database architecture and performance, specifically MySQL
  • Strong understanding of NoSQL database architecture and performance, specifically MongoDB
  • Experience resolving performance issues, including database bottlenecks and concurrency
  • Expert level understanding of architectural design, API definition, JVM stack and memory management, caching, threading, etc.
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex production issues e.g., memory leaks, network problems, intermittent failures, etc. across the stack
  • Excellent, Clear & Fluent English verbal, and written skills for deep and engaged technical discussions with engineers and clients
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
  • Excellent version control, QA skills, and attention to detail
  • Availability for Eastern US Time
  • Availability to work the occasional extended hours throughout the week
  • Availability for Ad-Hoc multi-hour technical sessions which will require sharing of the screen and engaging discussions
  • Adaptable to change and working independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Development/Administration (ITSM) experience.
  • Experience with ServiceNow’s ITBM Platform
  • Expertise of Javascript
  • Software engineering experience
  • Understanding of distributed systems, synchronicity, and message-based architectures
  • Expertise with data stores such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, and HBase, and data warehouses such as Redshift, BigQuery, and Snowflake
  •  Experience with Business Data Analytics & Visualization platforms
  •  Experience with Customer Success applications
