Quality Assurance Engineer

Saab Moulded Furniture is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer with a minimum of 5 years in quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will have expertise in defect tracking, quality metrics, performance testing, and Six Sigma methodologies. This role requires hands-on experience in quality assurance within the manufacturing environment, specifically with MS Pipe and MS Sheet cutting, bending, and fabrication processes. The Quality Assurance Engineer will lead a team of five individuals and will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards throughout production operations. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance protocols at Saab Moulded Furniture. This position involves close collaboration with fabrication units and production teams to monitor, evaluate, and enhance production quality and efficiency. The engineer plays a critical role in identifying defects, establishing quality metrics, and facilitating root cause analysis to drive process improvements consistent with Six Sigma principles and best industry practices.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a quality assurance team of five to oversee daily QA activities and ensure adherence to company quality standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards focused on MS Pipe and MS Sheet cutting, bending, and fabrication.
Monitor production processes and conduct thorough performance testing to identify quality issues or deviations from standards.
Track defects rigorously using defect tracking systems and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
Analyze quality metrics and prepare detailed reports to provide insights on production quality and suggest improvements.
Collaborate closely with fabrication and production teams to communicate quality expectations and implement process improvements.
Drive continuous improvement projects guided by Six Sigma methodologies to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to quality assurance processes and documentation.
Train and mentor junior QA team members, enhancing their skills in quality assurance techniques and effective measurement.
Stay up to date with the latest industry quality standards, tools, and technologies to incorporate into the companys QA practices.
