To support the project in increasing immunization coverage by engaging communities, raising awareness, mobilizing caregivers, and facilitating linkages between the community and health services in the targeted union councils of Peshawar.
Responsibilities and Main Duties:
• Conduct regular door-to-door visits to identify and counsel caregivers of unvaccinated or partially vaccinated children.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, group discussions, and awareness sessions on the importance of routine immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases.
• Distribute IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) materials and provide culturally appropriate health education.
• Mobilize community influencers, religious leaders, and local bodies to advocate for immunization.
• Identify and address barriers, myths, and misconceptions related to vaccines within communities.
• Support social behavior change communication activities to generate demand for immunization services.
• Coordinate with local health staff to ensure availability of immunization services in hard-to-reach and underserved areas.
• Assist in organizing and supporting outreach immunization sessions or mobile vaccination camps.
• Mobilize beneficiaries during vaccination campaigns and fixed-site immunization days.
• Maintain daily visit records and report community feedback, refusals, and missed children.
• Submit weekly and monthly activity reports to the supervisor.
• Maintain strong coordination with health facilities, Lady Health Workers (LHWs), and EPI staff.
• Participate in regular team meetings and refresher trainings.
• Support emergency responses, such as outbreak campaigns, as needed.
• Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
