The Female Medical Officer/Doctor will predominantly deliver clinical care to female patients in the outpatient department, focusing on stabilizing critical cases and facilitating referrals to further care facilities. They will conduct assessments, clinical diagnoses, ultrasound tests and treatment according to established protocols, offering advice based on diagnoses using standardized treatment guidelines. Rational prescription of medications will be ensured, alongside managing intra-unit referrals and maintaining thorough clinical documentation, including completion of OPD forms, referral letters, and other relevant patient care documents. Additionally, the Medical Officer/Doctor will actively participate in community awareness sessions.
Responsibilities and Main Duties:
• Providing medical support services to host communities.
• The Medical Officer will refer patients to appropriate Specialists or Medical Institutes as and where needed and appropriate.
• Conducting assessments, clinical diagnoses, and treatment of patients at the facility in accordance with standardized protocols.
• Providing patients with advice based on diagnoses using established treatment protocols.
• Evaluating and stabilizing critical patients and facilitating referrals to appropriate facilities.
• Ensuring the implementation, quality, and consistency of the medical component of the program in coordination with partner organizations and the organization's coordination team.
• Developing, updating, and validating medical/MHPSS standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Educating patients and community members on their diagnoses, healthy diets, nutrition, physical activity, hygiene promotion, and disease prevention, including vaccination requirements and smoking cessation.
• Adhering to administrative directives regarding work schedules, record-keeping, patient communication, restocking of consumables, and other medical supplies.
• Providing all services to patients free of charge.
• Organizing free health camps with support from partner organizations and the health department.
• Assisting in identifying and diagnosing needy individuals for assistive devices.
• Maintaining strong coordination with other healthcare units, hospitals, and healthcare providers for a well-functioning referral mechanism, including volunteer services provision through organizational Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
• Ensuring that all enrolled students undergo wellness checkups once every three months during their course schedule.
