General Duties
- CCTV staff will conduct video observation and recording of public areas to observe any suspicious person, abnormal activity or panic among staff, public and Tenants.
- CCTV staff should be trained in the technical, legal, and ethical parameters of appropriate camera use to handle the sophisticated camera perfectly.
- CCTV staff will monitor based on suspicious behavior, NOT group characteristics. Main emphasis should be on security hazardous threats.
- Staff involved in monitoring will be appropriately trained and supervised in the responsible use of this technology.
- Information obtained through video monitoring will be used exclusively for safety.
- Recorded clips will be stored in a secure location with access by authorized staff only.
- Security senior staff be notified immediately in case of any suspicious act
- Criminal or life-threatening activity is observed.
- CCTV staff must record every activity and document all observations in detail on the logbook.
- The camera system will be configured to prevent any tampering with or duplicating recorded information.
- Access to CCTV Office will be restricted to authorized personnel only.
- CCTV staff should maintain proper backup of all data.
- Video clipping with footage of any incident will only be prepared after getting prior approval of manager Operation & Manager Security.
- Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipment in the CCTV Control Room
- Follow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV Control Room and its facilities Operate a range of remote call monitoring, alarms and communication facilities contained within the Control Room
- Report any incidents that occur immediately to the Patrolling Supervisor or Officer Incident Control Room via a dedicated link, and/or report to other relevant departments
- Maintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software
- Maintain the shop opening closing time, daily footfall record and communicate the departments accordingly
- CCTV Operators must be able to identify small, seemingly insignificant details that most people would overlook.
- CCTV Operator receives a phone call, listen the customer complaints or has to speak to a colleague, they must always be keeping an eye on the monitors.
- Communicate with Security staff and supervisor via a radio receiver to solve/communicate the issues
