• Day to day management of the transportation department
• Management of School related vehicles
• Management of drivers and office administrative staff
• Develop and be conversant with routes, and schedule vehicles and drivers
• Recruit and hire new permanent and temporary staff
• Conform to all government laws and regulations
• Serve as a member of the Operations Management Team and attend weekly meetings
• Prepare and submit monthly Board Reports to the Director of Operations • Understand and be proficient in the use of the PowerSchool data base
• Allocate and schedule new passengers on the applicable routes
• Develop weekend vendor duties
• Develop and keep current the Transport Department Incident Management Report, Policies and Procedures, and ensure compliance by all department members
• Manage incidents requiring employee discipline
• Prepare the pick-up and drop-off schedules for the all passengers
• Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
• Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
• Resolve complaints via phone, email, mail or social media.
Use telephones/Email/ Social Media to reach out to customers/Vendors and verify Profile information
• Handle changes in policies or renewals.
