Sale Tax Officer

Located at Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, Kot Lakhpat, Lahore, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a fresh B.Com graduate with up to two years of experience interested in working within a leading Textile & Knitwear Group. The successful candidate will contribute to safeguarding the companys compliance status, collaborating with internal departments to optimize the tax function, and ensuring timely submission of all required tax returns and reports.
Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the complete sales tax compliance lifecycle including assessment, filing, and reporting in accordance with government regulations.
Ensure accurate preparation and submission of sales tax returns and related documentation within prescribed deadlines.
Review transactional data and financial records using tools such as Tally ERP to validate compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Assist in preparing responses to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities by gathering necessary documents and explanations.
Maintain organized records of all sales tax transactions and correspondence to support audits and compliance reviews.
Guide and supervise a team of two members, providing training, support, and performance feedback to enhance their productivity and accuracy.
Collaborate with internal finance and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline tax-related processes.
Stay updated on changes in sales tax laws, regulations, and policies affecting the textile and knitwear industry to ensure ongoing compliance.
Implement internal controls and procedures to mitigate tax risks and prevent any potential non-compliance issues.
Prepare periodic reports on sales tax status and outstanding issues for senior management review.
