We are looking for a highly motivated and commercially driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) with hands-on experience in the printing, packaging, or related manufacturing industries. This full-time remote position requires ownership of the entire sales cycle—from responding to inbound inquiries and qualifying leads to quoting, negotiating, closing, and handing over to fulfillment teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging customer needs, including materials, specifications, MOQ, printing, finishing, timelines, pricing, and delivery. Success in this role depends on quick lead response, disciplined follow-up, commercial awareness, and consistent customer engagement to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management & Speed-to-Lead: Respond promptly and professionally to all inbound leads, prioritizing high-intent inquiries, including those received on weekends. Proactively follow up to keep opportunities active and maintain full visibility of all active leads in the CRM system.
Lead Qualification & Discovery: Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand customer requirements such as packaging type, specifications, quantities, materials, printing, finishing, MOQ, budget, timelines, shipping, and decision-making processes. Accurately assess buying intent and commercial viability.
Packaging Product Knowledge: Confidently discuss and sell a range of packaging solutions, including custom packaging, folding cartons, corrugated and rigid boxes, flexible packaging, labels, and packaging for retail, food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, e-commerce, and promotional sectors. Communicate technical and commercial requirements professionally and coordinate internally for specialized needs.
Quotation & Commercial Management: Prepare and deliver accurate quotations aligned with customer specifications. Collaborate with production, estimating, design, and operations teams as needed. Clearly communicate pricing, MOQ, timelines, and terms, and follow up until a definitive outcome is reached. Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Full-Cycle Sales Ownership: Manage opportunities independently through all sales stages—from lead receipt to closing and handover. Take accountability for converting inquiries into paying customers rather than just completing tasks.
Follow-Up, Objection Handling & Negotiation: Establish structured follow-up sequences, address objections related to pricing, quality, MOQ, and delivery, and negotiate professionally while protecting company margins. Maintain engagement throughout longer sales cycles and pursue qualified opportunities until resolved.
CRM & Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records of all communications, quotations, and opportunity stages. Ensure every opportunity has a defined next action and provide reliable sales activity and pipeline reports to management.
Internal Coordination & Handover: Collaborate closely with production, operations, design, estimating, customer service, and management teams to ensure smooth communication and successful transition from sales to fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience, preferably within the packaging or printing industry. Proven track record of converting inbound inquiries into paying customers in B2B sales environments. Excellent telephone communication and sales presentation skills. Strong spoken and written English proficiency. Demonstrated ability in objection handling and negotiation. Disciplined follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously. Experience working with CRM systems. Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting. Highly target-oriented and revenue-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Hands-on experience with packaging manufacturers, suppliers, printers, distributors, or related B2B packaging businesses. Practical knowledge of packaging specifications, material selection, MOQ, printing processes, finishing options, production lead times, sampling, shipping, costing, and B2B purchasing processes. Ability to communicate confidently with business owners, purchasing managers, procurement teams, and decision-makers. Hunter mentality with persistence, professionalism, and ownership of every opportunity. Flexible availability including mandatory weekend work (Saturday and Sunday) to ensure timely responses to qualified leads outside conventional business hours. Performance will be measured through clear KPIs such as lead response time, conversion rates, revenue generation, pipeline health, and customer retention.
This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while managing full-cycle sales responsibilities in a dynamic packaging industry environment. The successful candidate will be accountable for converting leads into revenue and growing customer relationships through expert sales execution and packaging knowledge.
