WADIC, a well-established custom software development company founded in 2007, is looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join its remote team working within U.S. time zones. This role requires a professional who combines strong technical knowledge with consultative sales skills to manage the entire sales process—from initial client discovery and technical qualification to solution design, proposal creation, negotiation, and contract closure. The Sales Engineer will work closely with engineering and delivery teams to generate new business and grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities in software development, AI projects, ERP implementations, integrations, and long-term technology partnerships. Success in this role will be measured by new customer acquisition and revenue growth within current clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including discovery, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Conduct discovery sessions to understand clients’ business goals, challenges, and technology requirements.
- Recommend tailored technology solutions that align with client objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Develop solution architectures, project estimates, delivery strategies, and budgets.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, solution walkthroughs, and proof-of-concept sessions.
- Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to prepare proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), technical documentation, and project plans.
- Confidently discuss software architecture, scalability, security, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and delivery methodologies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- Conduct regular account reviews to uncover upcoming technology initiatives and project possibilities.
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline data, sales activity records, and revenue forecasts.
- Ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Delivery teams after contract signing.
- Gather and communicate customer insights to improve WADIC’s services and market positioning.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, Technical Sales, Pre-Sales, or related roles.
- Proven success selling custom software development, IT services, SaaS solutions, or staff augmentation.
- Demonstrated ability to close mid-market or enterprise technology deals.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile application development, cloud platforms, DevOps, quality assurance, and modern software architecture.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite; API integrations including REST, GraphQL, OAuth; CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho; and AI technologies including AI agents, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and workflow automation.
- Excellent English communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong discovery, solution-selling, and consultative sales capabilities.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, proactive, and results-driven.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed engineering, delivery, and leadership teams.
- Availability to work during U.S. business hours.
