- To draft and negotiate the legal and financial terms of a corporate contract, undertakings, MOUs, NDAs, NCCAs etc.
- To mitigate all legal risks involved during and after execution of a contract.
- To engage and take advice of external legal counsels before execution of a contract.
- To have sufficient knowledge of civil and criminal laws / procedures.
- To manage the cases at different legal fora effectively.
- To provide in house advisory to all departments and functions.
- To apprise the management on the ongoing progress of cases.
- To manage Intellectual Property Portfolio of the company.
- To follow up the process of registration of trademark and copyright effectively.
- To prepare and file opposition / objection timely against trademark / copyright applied by other parties, which may hurt legitimate interests of the company.
- To prepare letters/documents for tackling the menace of counterfeiting of trademarks of the company.
- To draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full intellectual property rights.
- To build strong commercial and IP cases and strategies in line with developing the full potential of a project.
- To provide internal legal advice on different issues raised by the management and by different departments of the company.
- To conduct policy work of the Company’s sector, specifically related to the annual budget of the country.
- To monitor amendments in the relevant laws governed by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Ministry of Health etc.
- To attend meetings at FBR, Standing Committees etc. and to present the viewpoint of the company on different policy issues.
- Any other task assigned by the management from time to time.
