SAP BTP Developer - Nova Intelligence Support(

We are seeking a skilled SAP BTP Developer to join our team supporting SAP enhancements created with Nova Intelligence, an AI-driven platform for generating SAP extensions. This role focuses on clean-core, side-by-side development on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), enabling faster delivery of SAP enhancements without modifying the SAP core. You will work remotely, collaborating primarily during US Eastern or Central business hours, and will begin with comprehensive training on the Nova Intelligence platform to ensure immediate productivity on client projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy side-by-side SAP extensions on SAP BTP, utilizing both Cloud Foundry and ABAP environments.
- Leverage Nova Intelligence to generate, review, refine, and test SAP enhancements, validating outputs against client requirements.
- Develop applications using SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Node.js or Java, and RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) when necessary.
- Build SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 front-end applications, including Fiori Elements apps.
- Integrate extensions with SAP S/4HANA and ECC systems using OData, REST APIs, SAP Integration Suite, and SAP Event Mesh.
- Adhere strictly to clean-core principles by using released APIs and extension points, avoiding any core system modifications.
- Configure essential BTP services such as XSUAA security, destinations, connectivity via Cloud Connector, and HANA Cloud.
- Write unit tests, support continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and manage source code using Git.
- Translate functional specifications into clear technical designs and document solutions thoroughly.
- Provide post-go-live support including troubleshooting and performance tuning of delivered enhancements.
- Complete Nova Intelligence onboarding and training prior to project assignments and contribute feedback to improve the platform.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SAP development, including at least 1-2 years hands-on experience with SAP BTP.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver side-by-side SAP extensions beyond traditional in-app or classic enhancements.
- Strong expertise in SAP CAP development (Node.js or Java) and/or ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
- Solid knowledge of ABAP, including modern ABAP syntax (7.4+), ABAP Object-Oriented programming, and CDS views.
- Experience in SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 development.
- Familiarity with OData services, REST APIs, and SAP integration patterns.
- Understanding of BTP security concepts such as XSUAA and role collections, as well as Cloud Connector configuration.
- Proficiency with Git version control and development environments like SAP Business Application Studio or Visual Studio Code.
- Strong communication skills in English, suitable for collaboration with US-based teams and clients.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home workspace for full-time remote work.
- Openness to learning AI-assisted development tools and completing Nova Intelligence training.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Associate - Back-End Developer - ABAP Cloud or SAP BTP Extension Developer are highly desirable.
- Experience working with S/4HANA Cloud (public or private editions) and clean-core extensibility approaches.
- Exposure to SAP Build tools (Apps, Process Automation, Code) or SAP Joule/generative AI capabilities on BTP.
- Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite and SAP Event Mesh for event-driven extension development.
- Knowledge of SAP HANA Cloud and Core Data Services (CDS) modeling.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines on BTP using SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery or GitHub Actions.
- Prior use of AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or SAP Build Code.
- Experience working with US or European clients in an offshore delivery model is a plus.
